Endurance Challenge: August 1- December 31

Oscar is a dedicated father and hardworking landscaper who has been self-employed in the landscaping and maintenance industry for many years. He is a proud father of four children, ranging in age from 10 to 25. Despite the challenges of being a single parent, Oscar has always worked diligently to provide for his family.

Five months ago, Oscar was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer, a battle that has dramatically altered his life. Initially mistaking his symptoms for a simple stomach upset, Oscar soon realized the severity of his condition as the pain intensified. Since then, he has lost over 45 pounds and struggles with eating due to the ongoing abdominal pain.

Although Oscar was able to secure medical insurance, the uncertainty of its duration adds to his concerns. As he embarks on this difficult journey, he faces the dual challenges of fighting cancer and the financial strain caused by his inability to work.

Through The Stride Project, we are committed to supporting Oscar in this trying time, providing him with the resources and care he needs to focus on his health and recovery.
