WHEN DOES REGISTRATION OPEN?
Registration opens on September 9, 2024.
IS THERE A REGISTRATION FEE?
There is no cost to register or participate.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE AND WHERE?
Over 30+ cities across North America will offer in-person hikes and events in October. Not in a participating city? No problem! Anyone can participate from anywhere! List of participating can be found here.
CAN I CREATE A TEAM?
Yes, you can sign-up as a solo-hiker, join an existing team, or create one!
WHAT COUNTS TOWARD MY MILEAGE/KM GOAL?
Only miles/km from intentional walks/hikes/runs can be counted. You cannot use a daily step count for your mileage.
HOW DO I TRACK MY MILES/KM?
Miles/Km must be logged through the Strava tracking app and posted to your profile to qualify for all miles based prizes. Learn more about using Strava in this video tutorial.
DO I HAVE TO FUNDRAISE OR DONATE?
There is no obligation to fundraise or donate.
WHERE DO THE RAISED FUNDS GO?
Raised funds go directly back into the local community by subsidizing Nature Unplugged educational and experiential programming.
WHAT ARE THE PRIZES AND HOW DO I EARN/WIN THEM?
Every registered hiker will have the opportunity to earn Fjallraven gear through their miles/km logged. Additionally, hikers will be eligible to win leaderboard prizes, challenge prizes and raffle prizes. More details about hiking incentives and prizes coming soon.
