Item description
Harry Shapland Colt is considered by many to be the most influential golf course architect of all time. He directly mentored some of the giants in the field, men such as Alister MacKenzie, Donald Ross, CH Alison and Stanley Thompson and influenced many others such as AW Tillinghast, Hugh Wilson, William Flynn, and George C. Thompson.
While it has been long rumored that HS Colt had a hand in creating Indian Hill Club’s golf course, it has only recently been confirmed by John Challenger tirelessly digging through our club’s early Board Notes and Financial Ledgers that Colt was indeed hired and paid by our Founders in 1914.
Item includes a threesome round of golf accompanied by an Illinois PGA Staff Member or Indian Hill Club Golf Professional.
Restrictions: Round to be played after September 1st. Caddies will be required.
Each of these items is intended for personal use by the auction winner unless otherwise approved by Illinois PGA Staff. These items may not be resold under any circumstance, and any effort to do so will automatically void use of the item.
