2026 DSAR Buddy Walk

Promote your services and business at the Down Syndrome Awareness Buddy Walk Event! Don’t miss this great opportunity!

The Down Syndrome Association of Roanoke will celebrate its Buddy Walk Fundraiser on October 3rd, 2026 at Mountain View Elementary School in Roanoke, Virginia from 12-3pm. We expect hundreds of participants and volunteers on event day. Your participation will help this event thrive and grow and we thank you in advance for your participation.

The objectives of the Buddy Walk event are to provide advocacy, educational and support services for families and friends of individuals with Down syndrome. We also wish to provide support to professionals who work with individuals with disabilities. The DSAR will provide an annual event that offers fun activities and educational opportunities for families and people of all ages. As this is an all- inclusive event, vendors may not use this venue to promote or advocate political, social, or religious points of view.

Please Note: The Buddy Walk event hours are 12pm-3 pm Saturday, October 3rd. All booth space is outside and vendors are responsible for their own table and chairs. Set up begins 1 hour before the event opens. You must remain open ALL hours of the Buddy Walk event.

Deadline: Your completed application must be received by September 26th.

There is no fee for this event for vendors providing a community service.

While not required, many service vendors choose to offer an activity in addition to any promotional materials, so this may be something to consider adding to your space.

We sincerely thank you for your support in our non-profit fundraising Buddy Walk and hope you will consider donating a portion of your proceeds from the event to the Down Syndrome Association of Roanoke.

To register for the event, please select "register" on the home page. Then select "Service Vendor Registration" and enter the requested contact information. It will ask if you would like to start a fundraising page. It will then ask if you would like to join or start a team. Teams are a great way to get more engagement and attract more people to advertise your services to, but they are not required.
