Pre-COVID, AZRD had four competitive teams that played games across the state. Surlies (formerly Surly Gurlies) founded In 2004 was a pirate themed team. Skate Riot Project (SRP), founded in 2015, has a rioting culture. Bad News Beaters, AZRD’s oldest team, founded in 2003 has a baseball theme. Midnight Storm, was AZRD’s newest team, founded in 2018. With the loss of venue space and skaters during the COVID-19 shutdown, today AZRD has two home teams: SRP and Bad News Beaters.
