Raising funds for youth baseball in the UK
With Diamond Sports Society and The 108
Small Ball is a UK charity programme run by the Diamond Sports Society and The 108 to bring the joy of baseball to children and communities who might never have had the chance to play.
We aim to deliver free or low-cost baseball sessions for:
Primary & secondary schools
Community centres & youth groups
After-school and holiday clubs
Underprivileged areas and low-income families
We also aim to support coaches and organisations with training and facilities so they can grow the game in their own communities.
Our Mission
Baseball for everyone.
We believe every child should have the chance to swing a bat, throw a ball, and feel the excitement of the game — no matter where they live or what their background is.

Why Baseball?
Baseball is more than just a game — it’s a powerful teacher of life skills that benefit children far beyond the diamond. The sport demands patience, as players learn to wait for the right pitch and to persevere through slumps. It builds resilience, because even the best hitters fail most of the time, yet must step back up to the plate with confidence. Teamwork is at its core: every play depends on communication, trust, and supporting one another.
Baseball also teaches focus and discipline, as success comes from practice, preparation, and making smart decisions under pressure. Most importantly, it helps children develop a healthy attitude toward both victory and defeat, showing them that effort, respect, and sportsmanship matter as much as the score.
