I’m Michael Orr, an adaptive golfer born with Amniotic Band Syndrome. My personal journey has deeply shaped my dedication to our community. I stumbled across adaptive sports two years ago and competed in my first golf tournament shortly after in 2023. It was then that I was introduced to the North American One-Armed Golfer Association (NAOAGA) and embraced with open arms. Having witnessed the profound inspiration within this sport firsthand, I’ve felt a powerful commitment ignite: to promote adaptive golfers around the country and highlight their remarkable journeys.

Resilience Media Initiative (RMI) is a strategic effort to increase the visibility and impact of the adaptive golf community across North America. Through my company, Lone Hand Golf, I am combining forces with mission-aligned partners like the NAOAGA and United States Adaptive Golf Alliance.

Your support does more than just fund a project; it directly powers the media and storytelling infrastructure required to reach millions and prove that ability knows no form. So many are still in the dark regarding adaptive golf, which leads to a lack of funding for specialized equipment, tournaments, and travel expenses. With the right exposure and public support, I believe that adaptive athletes, no matter the disability, can chase their athletic dreams.
