Located in the heart of the North End, Nando opened in 2021 in the spot where owner Mira Firicano’s father and uncle ran the Green Cross Pharmacy for over 50 years. When they retired, Mira was determined to establish a business in the same spot. And thus, Nando (named for their son) was born.

From the owners: “The concept is simple, Modern Italian with a classic, elegant vibe. A place which represents and brings to the neighborhood “Un Pezzo di Nostro Cuore,” a piece of our heart which we hope everyone will taste with their palate and love with their heart.”

Owner and chef Sal Firicano has been a chef for more than 40 years. Born and raised in Palermo, Italy, he came here at the age of 18 and has been part of the Boston culinary world ever since creating bold and innovative dishes.
