Regina & Rick Casaday Family & Friends Scholarship

This scholarship is given by Regina Casaday, the late Rick Casaday, family & friends.  Rick and Regina were both educators; Rick taught for 23 years and Regina taught for 17 years and was an elementary principal for 11 years.  They made lasting impressions on many of their students, who still stay in contact with Regina.  Rick and Regina shared a love for each other, as they were married for 28 years, and also shared a love for the Miss Texas Scholarship Organization.  Regina is completing her 47th years of service to the organization and for 23 of those years Rick served the organization right by her side.  Rick passed away only a few days after the 2024 Miss Texas Competition.  This scholarship is given in honor of Regina’s continued service and in memory of Rick and the 23 years of love and service that he gave the organization.

Applicants should have a shared passion for the Miss Texas Organization and a desire to contribute to the education of our youth by choosing a career in the teaching field.
