My Mission
I’m chasing my personal goals—but this is about more than a finish line.
I’m proud to be a Champion for Change with So Every BODY Can Move (SEBCM), raising funds to help expand access to prosthetic, orthotic, and mobility care.
As a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist I see the gaps every day. I see how hard people have to fight just to access the care and support they deserved. No one should have to battle for their mobility simply because of a limb difference or loss of mobility. That’s not a fight anyone should be facing alone, and yet so many people are.
For many people with disabilities, getting to a starting line isn’t just about training or racing—it’s about access.
Right now, insurance often only covers the most basic mobility devices—just enough for daily function. But the equipment needed for physical activity, like running blades, custom devices for specific sports, or high-activity wheelchairs, is still commonly denied as “not medically necessary.”
That means people are left without the tools they need to move, stay healthy, and participate in the activities many of us take for granted.
The barrier isn’t the finish line. It’s the starting line.
So Every BODY Can Move is working to change this by mobilizing grassroots advocates to drive state-by-state legislative change—modernizing insurance coverage so people can access the full range of prosthetic, orthotic, and mobility care they need to live active, healthy lives.
I’m using the Sydney Marathon as an opportunity to be part of that movement—turning my miles into advocacy so every BODY can access the care they need.
If you’re able to support, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every donation helps move this work forward.
