Initially formed by a group of mothers of children with Down syndrome, Coastal BUDS aims to provide support networks, resources, and social programs for both individuals with Down syndrome and their families across the local community.  Welcome packets for expectant parents, support meetings, “Mom’s Night Out” events, IEP counseling, and multiple social gatherings are just some of ways Coastal BUDS currently supports or local Down Syndrome Community.

However, we want to provide so much more to this underserved community and we need your help to add more programs and services.  Thanks to recent support we’ve been able to add a Book Club for adults with Down Syndrome, a lending library for parents, cooking classes (Down to Cook), dance classes (Down to Dance) and more!  With your support through donations, charitable giving, and volunteering we can further grow our reach and support in the local Down syndrome community.
