When the 2025 fires tore through LA, families didn’t just lose houses—they lost the objects that made them feel at home. Nine months later, many are still in temporary housing that feels bare and impersonal. We’ve been talking with groups who lost everything, and what they miss isn’t just furniture—it’s the meaningful pieces that grounded them. A mirror that followed them from house to house. A patterned rug that instantly made a room feel warm.

Collective is a volunteer effort of design and art professionals pooling resources to help repair a sense of place. We’re talking one-on-one to families and then directly sourcing the pieces then miss most—the touchstones that made their houses theirs. Donations of furniture, textiles, lighting, art are not just things, they’re a way to restore dignity and joy. Our warehouses and showrooms are full of beautiful objects waiting to be loved and our community is generous. We’d love your help in sharing what we have.
