Our Story
Helpers for Hope is presented by Building on Love, Inc., and Capital Cup for Kids.
Building on Love and Capital Cup for Kids share a mission to assist families caring for a child facing a life-threatening diagnosis like cancer or premature birth in our community. We come together through our love of sport, especially team sports, to rally our community to help their neighbors in need. With your support we will be able to help more families together, and through our respective causes, for families caring for a seriously ill child.
Helpers for Hope rallies 518 Athletes of all ages and abilities to lend an assist to our work while helping raise funds for their team and/or organization.
Leagues, teams, and/or athletes raise funds for each “assist” they make over the course of a month.
Our athletes solicit one-time donations, or better yet, a pledge for each assist they make.
Participating leagues, teams, and individuals can earn great swag, prizes and grants for their non-profit organizations.
