Down For The Ride 2027

In 2015, a passionate father of a beautiful young girl (who, in addition to having a number of amazing qualities, also happens to have Down Syndrome) created and hosted the very first Down For The Ride Poker Run fundraiser in the Greater Toledo area. This father’s hope was to spread awareness throughout our community that people of all ages with Down Syndrome are more alike than different, and are very deserving of our acceptance, love and respect.

The 2027 Down For The Ride event will take place on Saturday, July 17th and will encompass stops at area businesses, in addition to activities before and after the ride. We continue to experience growth year after year with our start in 2015 of 43 bikes, raising $2,300 to 2026 of over 300 bikes and raising $31,622.45 with a total raised to date of over $230,000.

Proceeds from Down For The Ride, a 501(c)(3) organization, is focused toward sustaining a brick-and-mortar community center for the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo (DSAGT) located a 112 E Dudley St, Maumee, Ohio, where children, teens, and adults with Down Syndrome can learn and grow together, and their families can feel even more supported along the way. DSAGT is also a 501(c)(3) organization that serves families residing in 17 counties throughout Northwest Ohio, as well as part of Southern Michigan. We are getting closer and closer to making this dream possible and could not accomplish our goals without the generosity of businesses like yours. We hope that you consider being a part of this event!
