Join us for this year's Buddy Walk®

Since 1995, the Buddy Walk® has been the premier advocacy event for the Down syndrome community in the United States. It is also the world’s most widely recognized public awareness program for the Down syndrome community. The Buddy Walk® attracts thousands of participants from coast to coast each year.

At the Down Syndrome Association of Southern Maryland (DSASMD), we believe that every individual with Down syndrome deserves to be celebrated, supported, and empowered to live a full and joyful life. We are a 100% volunteer-led nonprofit serving families across Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s Counties. Our mission is simple but powerful: to uplift individuals with Down syndrome and their families through connection, advocacy, education, and love.
