Riding for a Cure: Raising Money for Pediatric Cancer Research
I'm excited to announce that I'll be participating in my first Cal's Angels WOW (W.A.R. On Wheels) ride, a 14-day, 985-mile bike ride from Washington, D.C. to St. Charles, Illinois from October 23 to November 3. I'm riding to raise money for pediatric cancer research, and I'm hoping to raise $25,000.
Pediatric cancer is the leading cause of death by disease among children under the age of 15. In the United States, about 9,910 children are diagnosed with cancer each year, and about 1,040 children or 10.5% will die from the disease. There have been significant advances in pediatric cancer treatment in recent years, but there is still much work to be done. Research is needed to develop new and better treatments, and to find a cure for pediatric cancer. That's why I'm riding for a cure. I know that every dollar donated to Cal's Angels will help fund research that could save the life of a child.
I know that riding 985 miles is a challenge, but I'm confident that I can do it. I've been training hard, and I'm surrounded by a team of amazing riders who are all committed to the same cause. However, this ride is about more than just the miles. It's about the children who are fighting for their lives. It's about the families who are struggling to cope with a cancer diagnosis. It's about the hope that we can find a cure. I know that I can't do this alone. I need your help. I need you to donate to my fundraising campaign. I need you to share my story. I need you to believe that we can make a difference.
Together, we can ride for a cure. Together, we can give hope to the children and families who are fighting cancer. Together, we can make a difference.
How You Can Help
There are many ways you can help me reach my fundraising goal. You can donate money, volunteer your time, or simply spread the word about my ride. Every little bit helps.
