My Mission

I ride annually in the Million Dollar Bike Ride in honor of my son, Ben, who was born with a rare disease, congenital hyperinsulinism. Ben is celebrating his 28th birthday this June thanks to the dedicated doctors and nurses at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, who have been following him and meeting with him regularly since he was two weeks old. It is a small way for me to give back to the community and to raise funds for much-needed rare disease research, which can help improve the lives of those with rare diseases, like Ben, and to one day find a cure, not just for congenital hyperinsulinism, but for all rare diseases.

The Penn Medicine Orphan Disease Center hosts this event to raise money for research in rare diseases. Please consider donating to our cause and being a part of transformative research. 100% of your donation, less platform fees, will go towards rare disease research.
