This will be my seventh adventure with the Project Athena Foundation. I have kayaked the keys in Key West Florida, hiked the Grand Canyon rim to rim in just over 14 hrs, hiked two days through Zion national Park over 50 miles, and done the two day 50+ mile trek from Mission Bay, San Diego to La Jolla, California.

This time, I’ve been given the opportunity to take on the adventure of a lifetime: tackling 76-ish miles of Kayaking / Cycling / Trekking on the San Diego Coast. All to support Survivors in making their Epic comeback stories.

Project Athena is an incredible nonprofit that helps survivors of medical or traumatic setbacks live out an adventurous dream as part of their recovery. Each Athena and Zeus (survivors) is gifted a fully funded, multi-day expedition through the financial support of Gods and Goddess (fundraisers like me!).
