This year I am walking to raise funds to give courage to women like *Andie. The helpline operator at the clinic received a text message from Andie. “I need an abortion” the message read. Through text messaging, they were able to share with her the importance of confirming her pregnancy through ultrasound and learning about her options. She asked to make an appointment and they scheduled her to come into the clinic right away.

Andie was a young mom facing financial challenges. At her appointment, she shared that those around her would support her in having an abortion but, unsure of how far along she was, she was hoping they could help her determine what was going on so she could make a plan for what to do next. They were happy to provide her with an ultrasound and Andie was shocked by what she saw. Her little baby was kicking and waving on the ultrasound screen. The baby’s strong heartbeat was easily heard and Andie immediately recognized that she was witnessing the miracle of LIFE!

Andie chose LIFE for her baby and is now making plans to welcome this new little one into the world. Stories like this would not exist if it were not for people like your supporting me in the Walk for Life!
