Abby Paulson

Sports have provided women with a platform to showcase their physical abilities and challenge traditional gender roles. By recognizing these achievements and contributions of women in sports, we honor the legacy and inspire future generations to pursue their passions and break down barriers. Here is my story!

My favorite sports moment was In 2021. My team qualified to the final four against the odds. We were behind going into the last event (our worst event), and came together as a team to end up qualifying. It was so emotional and exciting.

The most impactful woman in my sports career has been Carly Dockendorf, Sarah Jantzi, and Sami Wozney. Sami and Sarah were my club coaches throughout my childhood, and played an influential role in who I am today. Carly is my college coach, and she has helped me find my worth in being more than just my athletic ability.

My advice for the younger generation of women is, no matter what, you can achieve more than you think. Sports and athletics can help you achieve so much in life, and help prepare you for anything. Remember that the hard days make the good days better, and that no matter what level you are at, you have and will achieve amazing things.
