Sports have provided women with a platform to showcase their physical abilities and challenge traditional gender roles. By recognizing these achievements and contributions of women in sports, we honor the legacy and inspire future generations to pursue their passions and break down barriers.

My favorite sports moment was playing in my first ever collegiate match against PVAMU.

The most impactful woman in my sports career has been has been my mom, Shana Poe. She has always reminded me that I am able to do anything I put my mind to and that I am able to face any challenges that come my way.

My advice for the younger generation of women is is to continuing pursuing your dreams and passion regardless of what others say. Women have never been seen as athletes but as emotional and sensitive people who can’t handle a competitive atmosphere. I want the young women to continue working and fighting hard and show that women can be just as strong and successful of an athlete as men.
