Bailey was only six years old when we heard the words no parent should ever hear: Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. In an instant, our world changed. She endured more than any child should ever have to, yet she carried herself with a strength far beyond her years. Bailey never stopped holding our hands, never stopped smiling, and never stopped teaching us what true courage looks like.

She should be here today. She should be in school, spending time with her sister Leila, and dreaming about her future. Instead, I carry her memory in my heart and fight in her name.

No family should ever have to go through what we did. That’s why keeping Bailey’s legacy alive means so much to me. Through Bailey Strong, we honor her beautiful life and push for the research that children deserve — research that brings hope, better treatments, and one day a cure.

Bailey’s story didn’t end when she passed; her impact lives on in this fight. And with every step forward, I know my little girl is right beside us, helping light the way.
