I'm running with Team InTandem at the 2024 TCS NYC Marathon!

It’s a bit wild to reflect on the past year and note how much has changed, especially physically. Shortly after we moved to New York, I broke my foot. Right after my foot healed, I found out I was pregnant. 9 months later, Parker made me a mother. My body has gone through the wringer and changes I have not experienced before.

If there’s anything I’ve learned from this experience, it’s how resilient the mind and body really are. How we’re capable of truly incredible things if we put our mind to it. I ran a half marathon 25 weeks pregnant, took countless Peloton classes until the day before I delivered, and grew a freaking human! As I embark on a new journey through postpartum recovery, I’m ready for a new challenge. Something that will help me get stronger both mentally and physically. To prove to myself I can do the hard things.

Running a marathon has been a longtime goal of mine and I’m excited to share I’ll be running the TCS 2024 New York City Marathon later this year as part of Team InTandem Cycling. I’m grateful for the opportunity and will be fundraising to help InTandem Cycling make tandem cycling programs available to people who are blind, have low vision or who cannot ride a bike independently due to other disabilities.

I’m not usually one to ask for help, but one thing I’ve learned so far from being a new mom is that it truly takes a village to get things done and lean on my community for support when needed. I hope you’ll join me in achieving my fundraising goal. I appreciate the love and support in advance.
