Our Mission

Fishin’ for a Cure is dedicated to bringing hope and support to those in need through community-driven fishing events and fundraising to make a difference for individuals battling breast cancer through fishing, fun, and fellowship. In 13 years, Fishin' for a Cure has raised over 1.6 million dollars directly benefiting breast cancer patients, caregivers, and their families. Help us continue the tradition and grow our impact by attending our annual October festival weekend! #year14

Anchored in Hope

We look forward to the fellowship, fun, and festivities, but Fishin' For A Cure is most excited about making a difference! We hope you join us for this incredible weekend. Saturday begins with Tutus for Tatas, followed by a block party, cornhole for a cause, art vendors, auctions, Pink Pint Night with music and food available for purchase. Sunday is the pokerfish tournament followed by a dinner to celebrate our sponsors and volunteers. The weekend ends with a golf tournament at Star Hill Golf Club.

Friday, October 9

Resin Workshop

Join local artist Sharon Churchill for a Resin Workshop at Thirsty Surfer at 6pm.


Saturday, October 10

Anchored in Hope

Start at Flipperz with Tutus for Tatas sponsored by the Emerald Isle Parrottheads. Registration is onsite only beginning at 9:00am. Walk begins at 10:00am.

Check-in for the FFAC weekend events begin at 11:00am at Thirsty Surfer. There will be vendors on site donating a portion of their proceeds to Fishin' for a Cure. Cornhole for a Cause begins at 1:00pm.

Anchored in Hope is our opening day of a weekend of fun, fellowship and fundraising. Join us at Thirsty Surfer beginning at 11:00am for Hope for the heART, where there will be a wide variety of art experiences, vendors, and bidding available.

Back by popular demand, Pink Pint Night will begin at 6pm at Thirsty Surfer. For a $10 donation at the door, you can be part of a community event that has been a fan favorite for years.


Sunday, October 11

PokerFish Tournament

Join us on the beach with a pole in the ocean, including fishing tournament and fellowship. Open to all, with registration fees benefiting FFAC. Registration includes an pokerfish shirt. Make plans to spend the day on the beach!

New this year is Junior Angler Fishing Experience. Anglers will fish from 1:15-2:15. Partner up!

Check in on the beach at 9:30am. Rules at 10:45am and lines in at 11:00.

Group pictures around 1:10pm.

Awards will be around 2:30pm.

Hope Appreciation Dinner

This event begins at 6:30pm at The Trading Post. Live music and fellowship included. This event is for sponsors and volunteers. By invitation only.


Monday, October 12

Go Pink on the Green

Join us as we Go Pink on the Green for breast cancer. Part of Fishin' for a Cure's annual event, we are ready to swing the clubs and dress to impress at this annual golf tournament! Check in begins at 8:00am and shot gun start at 9:00. Lunch and awards immediately after. Be sure to buy the golf package to get your mulligans, tee busters and hole in one!
