Tuesday In Person Book Club for Self Advocates Ages 18+

Tuesday, August 4 - Tuesday, September 22, 2026

What to Expect

This event is now full. To be added to the waitlist please email ava@downsyndromedallas.org or see our virtual option.

Join us this fall for our Adult Book Club! Participants will step into the magical world of Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie as they read together, ask questions, and engage in fun discussions. The first 15–30 minutes of each session will be reserved for social time, where participants are welcome to bring a snack or dinner and catch up with friends. For the remainder of the session, the group will take turns reading the book aloud together.

The Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas will provide each participant with a copy of the book at the first meeting.

Space is limited and registration is required by Tuesday, July 28th (or until the program is full).
For questions or to request specific accommodations or modifications, please contact Ava Burns at ava@downsyndromedallas.org.

Please only enroll if your adult plans to attend the majority of the program.

Cancellations made 48+ hours in advance are eligible for a full refund if we have a waitlist.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event are non-refundable due to commitments already made for food and supplies.

Please keep in mind that DSG covers 85–95% of the cost for each participant and secures your spot in advance to keep this program affordable. Last-minute cancellations not only affect funding but may prevent another mom from participating.
