Why We Bird for Point Blue
The Beak Geeks are thrilled to be participating in Point Blue's 2025 Rich Stallcup Bird-A-Thon, representing San Francisco's South Bay region!
If you would like to join members of Point Blue's Students and Teachers Restoring A Watershed (STRAW) team for our South Bay walk on Saturday, September 27, 2025, please visit Point Blue's events page for details and to register.
Now in its 47th year, this event is an opportunity to connect, learn, and grow as a nature-loving community and to raise conservation funds to secure a healthy planet. The goal is to identify as many bird species as possible in a 24-hour period between September 15 and October 15. Please consider helping our team members reach our fundraising goal by making a donation or by pledging a dollar amount per bird seen.
Thank you for your generous support of our team and help in spreading the word. To learn more about Point Blue Conservation Science and their climate-smart conservation initiatives, visit their website at www.pointblue.org.
Make a donation online by clicking "donate" above, or mail a check made out to Point Blue Conservation Science to ATTN: Rich Stallcup Bird-A-Thon, Point Blue Conservation Science, 3820 Cypress Dr STE 11, Petaluma, CA 94954 (and please include the name of the birder or team you are supporting in the memo line).
Please note: If you would like to make a pledge per species, please select a team member's individual page. Your pledge will be counted toward the team's fundraising total.
