30 Years of Ridge-A-Thon!

$0Raised of $70,000

Stay tuned for updates about Ridge-A-Thon's 30th anniversary event!

Each year Ridge-A-Thon participants and donors help encourage donations for the Emergency Medicine Fund at Taos Community Foundation. The Fund provides grants in the area of health and basic needs in Taos and western Colfax Counties.

Ridge-A-Thon is a breath-taking snow sport event at Taos Ski Valley. In 2026, for our 30th anniversary event, participants will lap the hike-to terrain over two days, February 20th and 21st (Extreme Ridge Challenge). Participants can also choose to do a single hike (Ridge Raiser) during the event.

To increase the sense of community around the event this year we are encouraging participants to keep their fundraising page and social media profiles updated with images and videos of their preparation for and completion of their challenge. This helps everyone connect with their friends, donors, and other Ridge-A-Thon participants.

Last year's event raised a record-breaking $60,000+ that TCF was able to grant to nonprofits that provide equitable access to medical advocacy & support services, including cancer support services, addiction treatment programs, and elderly community member assistance, for residents of Taos and western Colfax counties. The funds raised by this event are granted each year in June through TCF’s annual Impact Grant Cycle, to non-profit organizations that address unexpected medical needs in our communities.
