The PGA of America REACH Foundation Minnesota serves as the 501(c)(3) charitable arm of the Minnesota PGA Section. Its mission is to expand access to the game of golf by leveraging PGA Professionals to positively impact the lives of youth, military, and diverse populations, with a strong emphasis on inclusion.

YOUTH
The Foundation supports junior golf development, scholarships, and financial assistance, helping young golfers pursue education, supporting individuals during times of need, and strengthening the impact PGA Professionals have within their communities.

MILITARY
PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is a program unlike any other—using golf as a tool for rehabilitation, connection, and healing for military veterans and active-duty service members. PGA HOPE helps build a welcoming community where participants can find purpose, camaraderie, and a renewed sense of belonging through the game of golf.

INCLUSION
Inclusion is at the heart of our mission—ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability or background, has the opportunity to experience the game of golf in a welcoming and supportive environment. Through initiatives like the Bad Pants Open, held in partnership with Special Olympics Minnesota, we create meaningful playing opportunities for athletes of all abilities while raising funds to support inclusive programming. The Minnesota PGA Foundation Pro-Am continues a long-standing tradition of giving back, generating vital support for nonprofit organizations that serve individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. In addition, the Play Yellow Birdie Bash brings PGA Professionals and the golf community together for a day of purpose-driven play, where participants take on 54 holes and fundraise through pledges per birdie to support youth access to the game and critical children’s healthcare initiatives. Together, these events help break down barriers, foster connection, and make golf more accessible—and enjoyable—for everyone.
