The Rokeby School is an alternative model of art education for young artists. We aim to create a collaborative and critical environment for engaging in collective dialogues, using the model of group critique as our guide.

The program is focused on developing techniques of critique in group settings. It is geared towards dedicated high schoolers who are planning to continue education in art practice. Our meetings provide young artists with the opportunity to dialogue with like-minded peers about their concepts for their art, practice techniques of looking and listening, and develop strategies for future artistic engagement. We partner with local Los Angeles high schools and other arts institutions to provide in-classroom group critiques for students using our semiotic method.
