Rooted Futures Collective is a DFW-based nonprofit dedicated to building resilient, thriving communities through environmental education, ecological restoration, and civic engagement. We blend modern science with Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) to create programs that empower youth, uplift Indigenous wisdom, and strengthen local ecosystems.

Support Our Current Initiative: The Future Ancestors Library Garden
We’re excited to launch the Future Ancestors Library Garden, a major expansion of the beloved Hope Community Garden at the heart of Balch Springs. This living classroom will transform the library grounds into a space where residents of all ages can explore native plants, pollinator habitats, edible gardens, and hands-on learning about ecology, sustainability, and community stewardship.

Your support helps us:

  • Fund the garden’s tools, plants, and materials

  • Sustain Rooted Futures Collective’s ongoing operations, education programs, and community projects

  • Grow future leaders through hands-on environmental education

  • Promote community-led sustainability, food sovereignty, and ecosystem restoration

  • $50 → Covers one volunteer day for garden maintenance

  • $250 → Funds the creation of a full pollinator garden bed or educational planting area

  • $500 → Supports an entire community workshop or hands-on program for youth, including materials, instruction, and garden activities
