Counting Birds for Conservation

I am excited to take part in the San Diego Birdathon, a birding challenge supporting San Diego Bird Alliance’s local conservation, education, and advocacy efforts that benefit birds, other wildlife, and all who enjoy them.

I'm proud to help protect endangered birds like the California Least Tern, Ridgway's Rail, and Belding's Savannah Sparrow by counting as many bird species as I can in 24 hours during my Birdathon. Please consider supporting my efforts by giving to my page. You can pledge per bird species I see or make a flat donation (both are tax-deductible). Every dollar counts for our feathered friends! Thank you.

After some parking issues, we were rewarded in the parking lot with a Western Tanager and an Osprey and a whole lot of Northern Western Warblers. Later on, we got a good look at a Nuttall’s Woodpecker, a few Orioles, and bunch of others, 30 species to be exact!

The parking lot striked again on the way back to our cars- we found a Cliff Swallow nest with a lot of activity! Great pictures of the day captured by the Chicks 🐤

Thanks so much to Rebecca for leading our walk!! So many fun facts 💛
