Our Mission
We are excited to join the Project Purple community in the fight against Pancreatic Cancer.
Our goal is to further allow Project Purple to continue funding much needed research efforts to find early detection while also supporting those patients and families in need. I am running the OC half marathon with the mindset that if my mom could go through 14 months of battling pancreatic cancer and getting chemotherapy weekly, then I have no excuse! My mom was the epitome of strength and I want to continue fighting each day with her legacy in mind.
Together we will make a difference. Together we can find a cure.

Hi everyone! I will be running my first half marathon in Orange County in May with Project Purple. My team name is Betseys Battalion. I‘m proud to be able to raise awareness for an organization that is near and dear to my heart. After losing my mom to pancreatic cancer this past August, I have had the mindset of “if my mom could go through chemo and horrible pain from cancer for 14 months, I can run 13.1 miles. I have no excuse!” I’m looking forward to connecting with others in this community.
