In June 2018, Orly Goldman started her courageous battle with a very aggressive and rare form of cancer known as Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma or ACC. To put into context just how rare her diagnosis was, one in every one million individuals is diagnosed with the disease each year.

Shortly after major surgery to remove a 17-centimeter tumor from her adrenal gland in July 2018, we learned that her cancer was stage 4; it had spread to both her lungs and liver. Rather than being fearful of her diagnosis and bleak prognosis, Orly attacked her disease like the fierce warrior she has been her entire life. Her mission was simple – to live a long and fruitful life with her husband, Andrew, and their two young children.

It was during her cancer battle that her family learned of The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation.

The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation helps alleviate the financial stress by providing direct monetary grants to families so no parent ever has to choose between paying a bill and saving their child's life.

The Foundation's goal is to help alleviate the financial burden so parents can focus on keeping their families together and getting their child better.

Although Orly’s cancer battle ended on February 1, 2021, her fight and legacy live on in her husband, children, extended family, and friends. Since 2021, they have participated in The Foundation’s Walk-Off for Cancer and have raised approximately $5,000 during that time.

We invite our family and friends to join #OrlysArmy at Pine Trails Park this year and to donate to our team. Together, we can knock cancer out of the park!

The team that fundraises the most money will be recognized during the Walk-Off for Cancer event and the Team Captain will receive an autographed New York Yankees Jersey. Individuals are only eligible for ONE incentive item. Team Captains will receive their incentive items at the end of the Walk and are not eligible for individual donation items.
