The Covid pandemic has negatively affected many businesses and families alike and there are many children within our organization that are in need of financial support to continue playing the game they love. Additionally, your willingness to participate in our Juggle-a-thon will solidify the operations of the club and sustain its viability, so our kids can play for years to come! We have chosen juggling as for this campaign because we feel the most important foundation skill a player can develop is juggling. The ability to juggle develops a player’s confidence, first touch, and passing while under pressure. This is the first and FUNdamental stage for ball mastery; a MAJOR principle of the Poway Vaqueros Player Development Plan. Players who juggle well are more adept at manipulating their first touch, controlling the ball out of the air, and handling a bad pass that comes their way. This is due to the amount of time they are spending with the ball and the NEED to manipulate and control it in the air. In short, juggling builds an affinity and comfort with the ball while improving their touch, motor coordination, balance, and leg strength.

The players will have 15 minutes twice during the week at practice to get as many juggles as they can. The coach will count the most juggles as the score for their fundraising.
