Takes place Aug 13-15, 2021

Skate-A-Thon

As a long time skater in our community I wanted to gather the crew to skate for a great cause. Young, old, skaters of all kinds come join me to skate laps at your local skatepark and get friends and family to sponsor you per each 15 minutes of skateboard equals a lap or a wave. Skate in your driveway or at your local park. Be safe and have fun.

I will have raffle tickets for sale for Santa Cruz Skateboard prizes thanks to NHS. Check back for more information as I fill in the team story.

Hope to see you August 13-15!

Our team is excited to join this EPIC initiative! Operation Surf’s mission is very important to us and we are proud to help them make a difference in the lives of injured military and veterans, one wave at a time. Please support our team by giving to our page. Every dollar counts! The life-changing programs of Operation Surf are made possible by contributions from people like you!

Your support will provide:

  • $25 provides a 'wave' of peer-to-peer support through Operation Surf's online peer-to-peer platform called The Canteen.
  • $50 provides health-conscious meals for a day for one veteran.
  • $100 provides a day of world-class surfing instruction for one veteran.
  • $250 equips a veteran with a wetsuit to keep them warm and comfortable.

Operation Surf programs are at no cost to the veterans they serve, and they are invited to continue their journey long after the program is complete through various opportunities. It costs an average of $5,000 to put a veteran through an Operation Surf program and provide ongoing care.

Changing Lives, One Wave at a Time

Operation Surf’s curriculum-based programs aim to inspire injured military and veterans to seek wellness in all aspects of their lives while providing the necessary resources, tools, and support to continue this mindset indefinitely.

Reaching our overall goal of $100K allows us to operate four programs in 2021, changing the lives of 32 new participants and continuing to serve 16 past participants as veteran support.
