Please Support Our Fight Against Cancer

We have decided that our beneficiary this year will be North Country Horsemen and their Trails to Treatment program that provides grants to individuals fighting cancer in Northwest Minnesota

NCH Trails To Treatments ~ A Brief History

In 2007, after NCH members participated in a cancer ride benefiting research, Mardy Anderson approached North Country Horsemen, about hosting a cancer ride at the M&R Triple T Ranch by Strathcona, MN. NCH members were very receptive to the idea, and a committee was formed, and the 1st Annual M&R Triple T Ranch and North Country Horsemen Cancer Benefit & Ride was held in 2008. Proceeds from the 2008 & 2009 fundraising rides were donated to outside cancer grant programs. By October 2011, the committee was inspired to administer their own cancer grant program, thus North Country Horsemen (NCH) Trails To Treatments (TTT) was formed. Initially grants were $300, and that amount increased over the years due to donations and fundraising efforts from individuals, teams, businesses, and organizations. TTT grant recipients currently receive $1000 and may reapply every twelve months as long as they are receiving medical care for cancer. TTT grants are intended to stay local, and the majority are awarded to residents in the counties of Pennington, Roseau, Marshall, Polk, Red Lake, and Kittson. In 2016, due to its growing size, the Annual NCH Trails To Treatments Cancer Benefit & Ride fundraiser was moved to Middle River, MN.
