So Every BODY Can Move California

We're Californians who believe every BODY deserves to move. Whether that's cycling through the Bay, surfing in San Diego, or taking a walk around the block, movement is physical health, mental health, and quality of life. It's not a luxury. It's woven into who we are as a state, and it should be accessible to everyone. But for too many people in the limb loss and limb difference community, insurers too often deny coverage for the prosthetic and orthotic care that we need to do exactly that, calling it "not medically necessary."

We're changing that! Our coalition of advocates, clinicians, allied healthcare professionals, friends, family and everyday movers across the Golden State is building toward the 2027 California legislative session, where we'll push to clarify insurance coverage for activity-specific prosthetic and orthotic care. California is a big state, and getting advocates to Sacramento to meet with lawmakers takes real resources.
