Welcome to the Autism And Axolotls Team page!
We are excited to have you join us in celebrating Autism and axolotls as we raise awareness and money for the Chattanooga Autism center. Since moving to Chattanooga in 2019, the Chattanooga Autism Center has been a continual resource for me and my family. Ren has had music therapy there. We have attended a police training to help officers learn more about what to expect and how to respond to mental health crisis particular to Autism. Ren meets with a counselor there for emotional control. We have attended events and have had a wonderful Crocodile team for the walk when we have been able to participate. This is just to name a few ways they have impacted my family and there is so much more they are there for advocating in this beautiful diverse group of people. It is rare to see health professionals and organizations take the time to really support and recognize individuals and not just make textbook or blanket advocation in practice. The Autism Center is there to help our community navigate what is going on in their lives and real tangible tactics or programs to grasp better understanding and support. Our journey through Autism and Anxiety has not been an easy road, and I have been lucky to not be on the road alone and have this organization to bounce ideas off and help me when things seemed too big. The more people who support this event, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing our page with your friends and family. All funds raised will support local autism programs and services, and help our community be more accepting and inclusive of autistic individuals.
Make your tax-deductible donation today and take the first step toward helping us achieve our goal. Thank you for your support!
