95 Giants

Today I had my final game of October. It didn’t go as planned, we had a tough 4-1 loss against the Walpole Express. I did stop 30/34 and finished strong for October Saves. I met my saves goal and shattered my $4,000 dollar fundraising goal. Thank you to everyone who has supported me to this point, and spread the word, it’s not too late to donate.

I had a great practice tonight. I made 35 saves in 2v2 1/2 ice scrimmages. It was a fast paced practice and lots of open ice, so I got to see lots of pucks. With tonight’s work I met my goal of 200 saves in game/scrimmages and have my final game of the month on Sunday against a strong Walpole Express team. Thank you to everyone for your support this far.

The focused practice on Thursday paid off, my 2014 95 Giants Select team handed the East Coast Wizards their first loss of the season. Prior to the Giants 7-3 win today the Wizards were 6-0. The team played incredibly strong in front of me for the first two periods but began to lose steam in the 3rd and I was tested. I faced 12 shots through the first 2 periods and 16 in the 3rd period alone. I was having a very confident day in the crease and stopped 25/28 shots faced. That’s 25 more towards my 200 save goal for cancer research. Thank you to all who have supported through the month so far, as we head into the home stretch.
