Let’s Help Support Caddie Scholarships!
Over the years more than 40 Tuxedo caddies have been the beneficiaries of scholarship grants from the MGA Caddie Scholarship Fund. Jay Mottola and Outside Operations Manager, Dan Glick will again be participating in the fundraising Marathon that will take place at Siwanoy CC on August 21st and this year they will be joined by member favorite and caddie extraordinar, Saul Jimenez! All funds raised on behalf of "Team Tuxedo" will be dispersed as a Tuxedo donation to the Caddie Scholarship Fund and to the MGA Foundation in support of the Jay Mottola Scholarship.
The Caddie Scholarship program represents an opportunity to help young men and women in their pursuit of higher education and to show our appreciation to the caddies and others in service to golf (golf course, golf shop and practice range personnel) that help make the golfing experience at Tuxedo so special.
In 2018 the MGA Foundation announced the creation of a special Scholarship Fund to recognize Tuxedo member and longtime MGA Executive Director Jay Mottola. Jay has always been an advocate for caddieing, and under his guidance, supporting youth caddie initiatives has become a focus of the MGA Foundation.
To support our efforts, you can pledge any flat amount or pledge for each hole of golf we play. For example, if you pledge $5 per hole and we complete 100 holes, that’s $500 towards the CSF. We are aiming to beat our 2022 fundraising total of more than 20K! It will be a fun, but challenging day and your donations will inspire us!
