It is that time again. The 17th LI Buddy Walk will be a Halloween theme this year. Come out and have fun with us.

It’s hard to believe that the summertime is over and school has started. It has been an exciting and emotional summer. With Francesca’s big brother leaving for college, it has been a big adjustment for us all. Francesca misses her big brother a lot. Thank goodness for FaceTime and texting. Francesca loves to FaceTime Antonio in the morning to wake him up (especially those mornings when he does’t need to wake up early for class - lol).

Francesca also was missing Dr. D - so she fell off the monkey bars and broke her arm which needed surgery. Luckily her Dr. D is the BEST. Francesca dealt with the pain like a champ. Surgery went well. Now Francesca goes around telling everyone she is bionic since she has metal plates in her arm. Another surgery that she has added to her resume that she likes to recite to everyone she meets.

Francesca is happy to be back at school, starting her junior year. She is happy to be back in her routine with her teachers, therapists and friends. She enjoys showing everyone what she is capable of. She enjoys being proud of herself and her accomplishments. And we love seeing the joy that it brings her.

So as another school year begins, the planning of an exciting 17th Annual LI Buddy Walk is here. Let’s spread the word. Let’s get together. Let’s make this another successful year for Francesca’s Dreams.
