Cancer survivor fighter/survivor. But ALSO Wife, Daughter/Daughter In Law, Sister, Cat Mom, Niece, Cousin, Friend and Teacher.

Diagnosed at age 26 in 2020 and experienced a recurrence in 2024. After almost a dozen surgeries, 25+ cycles of chemo, I am now 32 and on chemo for the remainder of my life however long that may be.

I am grateful to be within the 14% of late stage CRC patients to have survived past 5 years. At the same time, I have experienced many of my friends taken too soon because of this disease.

I’m living each day with love, grace and joy but at the same time angry and saddened by what cancer has taken from me and by the fact that it’s now the #1 killer of people UNDER 50 and there is no designated federal funding to put a stop to it unlike breast or lung cancer.
