Our Mission

The Albion Hills Disc Golf Team is Throwing for More because we believe disc golf should be accessible to everyone. By raising funds for the Paul McBeth Foundation, we’re helping bring the sport to underserved communities around the world. Last year, our team raised $3,000 and played 1,352 holes, proving what’s possible when passion meets purpose. This year, we’re aiming even higher—adding more players and playing more holes—because sharing the sport we love means creating more opportunities, more courses, and more communities connected through disc golf.

Last year, the energy and commitment we saw was incredible.

And not just from those of us who signed up in advance and committed to a 24-hour marathon. It also came from the families and individuals who happened to arrive at the park without knowing an event was taking place. They jumped right in, threw as much as they could, offered to help, and some even offered to come back in the middle of the night to support us through the final hours in the dark.

That makes me even more excited for this year’s event. People heard about it after last year, we will be spreading the word even more before June, and I know we are going to see that same energy and commitment again.

And as if that were not already reason enough to take part, let’s not forget how much fun we had spending the day meeting new people and helping others discover this amazing sport.

So join us on June 20. If you are new, come learn the sport. If you are already a disc golfer, come share your love of the game with others. And for everyone, help grow the community while helping create these same opportunities around the world through the Paul McBeth Foundation.
