Meet Honored Child Blossom
Blossom is a Southern Oregon Candlelighter who likes reading, drawing, christian music, quad riding, cheerleading, school, friends and camping. She was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor when she was just 4 months old. Now 12, she’s already set a goal for herself - to be a good role model and eventually work with youth as a mentor or teacher. Her parents and her teachers inspire her, and she looks up to them for their wisdom.
Along with her parents and her sister Rainie (7), Blossom also lives with two cats named Zane and Boomer. Her favorite quote comes from her favorite book, Dust, by Kara Swanson: “This is who I really am, a girl made of starlight and shadow, who chooses to let the light heal the broken pieces.”
She enjoys Candlelighters Christmas parties because she gets to be with her family, make happy memories, and be reminded that she’s not alone in her cancer journey.
