EN: Hello there, my name is Tõnis Soppe from Estonia, but some of you might recognize me by the name - Disc Golf Fanatic.
On June 20th I will be playing my third competition round at the 2026 European Open (PDGA Major), plus a few more rounds at the local Epicbet Järve disc golf park, which me and my Disc Golf Fanatics disc golf club manage.
Fun fact: Järve is the single most popular disc golf park in Estonia. In 2025 alone the three layouts recorded a whopping 40,000 rounds played! It is safe to say it is even one of the most popular courses in the world.
I have been playing disc golf since the summer of 2016, so this year I am celebrating my 10th year playing this wonderful game and I love every second of it.
Disc golf has literally changed my life for the better. It keeps me active. I've made tons of new friends through disc golf and I have also been sober for over five years now. It has given me purpose and a community to be part of.
During that period I have played close to 5,000 rounds of disc golf and have been averaging well over 500 rounds per year for the last six years in a row! In 2026 so far, I have played over 250 rounds and counting…
I have competed in numerous marathon events before, ranging from 8 hours to 24 hours. For example, I played in a 24-hour disc golf marathon event held at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds in 2022, where with Vaiko Järvi we played 575 holes in a row (roughly 32 regular 18-hole rounds), walking around 40 miles in a 24-hour span with zero sleep and only a few breaks to eat food and drink liquids.

EE: 20. juunil toimub Paul McBethi fondi poolt "Throw For More" kampaania, mille raames kogutakse heategevuseks raha, et luua rohkem discgolfi radu üle kogu maailma. NB! McBethi fond on juba pea 30 rada üle kogu maailma ehitanud.
Lisaks proovitakse 20. juunil püstitada uus maailmarekord ühe päeva jooksul mängitud ringide arvu poolest. Vana rekord on ~125 000 ringi päevaga, uus eesmärk on 200 000 ringi.

I had one goal, not to finish last. I succeeded.
And I guessed I will be shooting between +0 and +10, R1 +10, R2 +8, R3 +10. ✅
I'd call it a successful tournament for myself.
The only issue I had was my left knee. I threw way too many full power practice shots and it started hurting. Every time I threw a forehand off the tee pad, I basically collapsed through the shot and most of the forehands turned into huge anhyzers. They went straight into the ground, so I ended up throwing backhands off 17 of the 18 tees.
It even hurt on some of the approaches, so I had to throw standstill forehands while putting my weight on my right knee instead of my left, which is normally my plant leg.
Still managed 89% C1X putting with a ton of putts from 25 to 32 feet.
I will watch the MPO lead & chase card and then play some more rounds later this evening!

On June 20th I'll be playing my third competition round at the European Open 🔥🔥🔥🔥 This is my first ever PDGA Pro Major event!
In addition, I'll play few extra rounds at the local Järve disc golf park!
