What to Expect

Families and friends are invited to join us at Stix Icehouse in McKinney as we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day with a fun, family-friendly taco night!

Space is limited, so tickets must be purchased in advance.
To ensure we stay within venue capacity, every person attending must have a ticket, regardless of whether they plan to eat.

This event has sold out. To be added to the waiting list, please contact Hannah Fredette.

Please note that the venue is open to the public for regular business hours. Families are welcome to visit the restaurant, purchase food independently, enjoy the outdoor activities, and listen to live music; however, only guests with a DSG ticket will be able to participate in the taco bar and Lolly's Dance Hall (private room).

A cash bar will be available; all alcoholic beverages are sold separately.

Stix Icehouse offers 14 acres of fun with activities the whole family will love, including:

Live music on the porch every Thursday–Sunday makes evenings at Stix the perfect way to unwind. On busy nights, families are encouraged to BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair) so you can find a cozy spot in the yard and enjoy the sunshine and good times. Refund Policy

Cancellations must be made by Wednesday, March 10 in order to receive a full refund, as we need to provide accurate food counts to the restaurant. After March 10, tickets are non-refundable, since food and reservation commitments will have already been finalized. If you’re unable to attend, please reach out—we’ll do our best to transfer your spot, if possible. Please keep in mind that the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas covers 85–95% of the cost for each attendee and pays for your spot in advance to keep this event affordable for families. Last-minute cancellations not only result in a loss of funds, but also prevent others on the waitlist from participating. Thank you for your understanding and support!
