WERCCS 2nd Annual Celebration 2026
Our Story
For more than 75 years, West End Racing Children’s Community Sailing has been a cornerstone of maritime education on the Outer Cape—a rite of passage for over 11,000 young people who have learned to sail, race, and practice water safety in a supportive, confidence-building environment. What begins on the water extends far beyond it: generations of sailors leave WERCCS with self-reliance, responsibility, leadership, respect for fair competition, and a lasting connection to the marine world. As we carry this legacy forward, we are proud to launch our 2nd Annual Celebration & Fundraiser in 2026, an event that honors our history, engages our community, and helps ensure that future generations have the same opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive on the water.
The Future of WERCCS
While we honor our past, we are also looking to the future. In the face of rising sea levels, we are undertaking essential capital improvements to the WERCCS Training Center, including reinforcing the bulkhead and restoring the historic boathouse. These upgrades are vital to preserving the integrity of our waterfront and ensuring we can continue this tradition of excellence for generations to come.
Support from sponsorships or donations will help us reach this critical goal, and in return, we offer you the opportunity to align your name with a deeply respected community institution.
