Join Our Movement

Our vision is an inclusive world for all, driven by the power of sport, through which people with intellectual disabilities live active, healthy and fulfilling lives. We provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Special Olympics is the only global sports movement led by people with intellectual disabilities. Every day around the world, our athletes show the world that sport is a force for justice for people of all abilities. We demand dignity. We reject low expectations. We transform bias into belief. Everyone belongs at Special Olympics.
