My Mission
I am running with team Betsey’s Battalion alongside Project Purple in honor of my mom who fought an extremely courageous battle against pancreatic cancer for 14 months. My mom went through chemotherapy for 13 months until she ultimately had to make the very difficult decision to stop. Shortly after my mom stopped receiving chemotherapy, her life was ultimately taken by this horrible disease on August 12, 2025. I want to join the Project Purple community in the much needed fight to bring more awareness to, fund more research of, and support more patients who are facing pancreatic cancer.

Hi everyone! I will be running my first half marathon in Orange County in May with Project Purple. My team name is Betseys Battalion. I‘m proud to be able to raise awareness for an organization that is near and dear to my heart. After losing my mom to pancreatic cancer this past August, I have had the mindset of “if my mom could go through chemo and horrible pain from cancer for 14 months, I can run 13.1 miles. I have no excuse!” I’m looking forward to connecting with others in this community.
