Brady's Story

Hello, my name is Brady Ruth. I am a junior at Schuylkill Valley High School in Leesport, PA. I have a personal connection to the use of an AED because in sixth grade I was suddenly diagnosed with a rare heart condition called Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome (WPW).

I was completely unaware of the condition until I suffered a cardiac emergency after a soccer game and was rushed to the hospital. Throughout the numerous nights spent in the hospital, and tests and procedures done on my heart, I learned of the high demand and importance that AEDs have.

Overall, my goal is to raise enough funds to purchase an AED that can be used in my community.
